Series

I label my blog posts as being in certain series, this helps identify posts that are relevant to you immediately! The corresponding image below is at the top of every post. Go to the label tab to get all the posts in one these categories.

Propagators is material on working on/through academic study. Topics like how to tackle and manage problems sheets or typical academic difficulties you might encounter during undergraduate study (and beyond that as I progress). Think of this as advice for current undergraduates at present, designed to make your journey a bit easier.

This is all about academic career advice and related matters, including relevant decisions you may have to make in academic study. Some of the material will be very general and introductory, like explaining the different fields of theory. Others will be specific, like a list of theory masters courses. Come to this series for academic career advice and related topics.

This is a series in which I present a weekly update of some (free) accessible(ish) material, usually videos of lectures or other science-y YouTube videos. I usually recommend between 3-5 items per week (at present) with give a few quick comments to help you judge if it's worth your time.

A section for 'reflections' is inevitable with any blog, anything that draws on my past experience of specific examples explicitly will ends up in this category. This is designed to give you detailed examples that I can breakdown for you and construct advice from! This is probably best for those of you looking for a more personal read, not a direct information download.

A section for opinions, I think it's especially important to flag these! A mixture of opinions on the state of theory and also study life will feature. Want some general chit chat about physics and student-hood? This is the series to go to.

One last section, this encompasses my own activities as a student, what I'm studying and working on etc. I'm thinking about including some problem breakdowns, but not sure yet. I might include some stuff about my general student life as well, stuff about my new uni etc. This also includes any changes to the blog etc.
